Having somehow missed all the announcements, I stumbled into Exctinction Rebellion's September 20th gathering and protest. Equipped with only my photographic lenses, I did my best to document the people who gathered in a public call to action. A mutually present sense of desperation and hope was felt by all.

I found this video a trip. As your brain is just about to latch on to something familiar, it immediately morphs into the next incomprehensible shape. As I watched the original video I found myself immediately creating a soundscape in my head, so I decided to create one for all to hear. Created using a mix of my recordings & my sound library.

On January 13th, 2018, citizens of the U.S. State of Hawaii received this message on their phones via the mobile alert system, which caused disruption and panic throughout the state.
But not for Jim.
I became fascinated with the false nuclear alarm in Hawaii. I was especially captivated by one reddit user’s recollection of the day, and decided to turn it into a short audio story.
The abundance of food in our culture has lead to pickiness. Why do we so seldom appreciate the journey each ingredient in our food has come from?
I made this as an exercise in sound design and sound editing. The entire soundtrack (with the exception of Toto - Africa near the end) was put together by me from scratch.
